Soft golden hamburger buns are easy to make and better than any that you'll find in a typical grocery store.

Mix all the ingredients together and knead to make a soft, smooth dough. The dough is ready when it springs back after pressing it with your thumb.
Cover the dough, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it's nearly doubled in bulk.
Gently deflate the dough, and divide it into 12 pieces. Shape each piece into a round ball then flatten with the palm of your hand.
Place the buns on a lightly greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for about an hour, until noticeably puffy.
Bake the buns in a preheated 375°F oven for 12 minutes or until golden.
Cool the buns on a rack.
Most of prep time is waiting for the dough to rise.
