A healthy dip for your Super Bowl menu. Chickpeas provide a creamy, nutty base that is accented with garlic, tahini and cumin.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups chickpeas that have been simmered in water until very soft, reserve cooking liquid.
  • ½ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil, plus more for garnish
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin or paprika, or half tbsp of each
Instructions
  1. Put the chickpeas, tahini, oil, garlic, and lemon juice in a food processor or blender, sprinkle with salt and pepper, process until smooth Add chickpea-cooking water to reach desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasonings.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil before serving.
